Hi Graham...thank you so much for your comment. Jugra is indeed full with history, some of which is sadly 'undocumented'.
Sent you an email, if ever you come visit again, lets catch up.

Emotional walk for me,too. The Fuller family resided at Jugra Estate, a stone's throw from Jugra Hill, for more than 30 years. My father was a rubber/oil palm planter and my brother and I grew up in the area. I returned - for old time's sake recently, but the old homestead had been demolished, also the gardens but the Temple my father built for the Indian workforce remains. If anyone has a picture of the old house, I would love a copy. Part of the reason for its demise may have been due to the Malayasian Airforce base nearby which, I am told, is linked to a radar facility at the summit of Jugras Hill. Mst have been a great view from the top! It was all jungle many years ago.

Must be fun to take a walk off the beaten path ... As for the flag, an up-side-down flag is the international sign for distress. Is the hoister trying to tell us something ... ... ... ???
